Another day in America means another mass shooting. A week and a half after the shooting at the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh, PA we find ourselves grappling with another one. This time at a bar in Thousand Oaks, CA.
Since I’m very proficient at being a cynic, I don’t see much hope that the gun violence issues we have in America will change. Things felt different after the Parkland shooting, but now it seems as though we’re going back to business as usual.
What can we do to make it better? That’s a complicated question for which no one has an easy answer. I wish I could say the situation will improve, but based on our current climate, I don’t see many reasons to be optimistic.
